Great to be back

It was lovely to do our morning walk down by the river and through a field full of sheep. Then we made a start on the garden, managed to clear the steps and cut most of the borders plus hubby managed to cut the grass but will need mowing in a couple of days. Should get it finished tomorrow.
I baked a cake and while it was in the oven we walked out of the village and up a hill, I just wanted a quick walk to see the countryside between showers. I timed it well as my timer for the cake was one minute from dinging when we opened the door. Did cleaning in the cottage but didn’t get very much done before dinner. Took Hetty round the village for her evening walk and it was busy and quite noisy compared to last night. The pubs are open again and the two with tables out front were busy. Will continue with cleaning and garden tomorrow and hopefully the weather will be good to go out walking Monday.
