Poppy and Arlo

We set off at 8.30 this morning and drove for three hours without a stop to Moniaive which is about 15 miles north of Dumfries and luckily outwith the virus spike in Dumfries, Annan and Gretna.
We spent a lovely afternoon with Anna, Poppy and Arlo -my how these 2 have grown! Poppy has learnt to make herself scrambled eggs and pancakes! We went for a walk in some woods I hadn't been to before. I would have had a gorgeous Blip of these 2 inside a big hollow tree but once I'd got them to go inside realised my phone was out of charge! Grrrrr! Instead here's a pic of them with their screens 8-]
Bella May loved the woods and had a good romp about looking for squirrels.
We also briefly saw the kids' Dad Peter and his new partner Fiona (3 meters socially distanced of course) she's really nice and it's good to see Peter so happy after he and Anna split up last year. The kids like Fiona a lot too as she was their nursery teacher when they were little.
We also saw Anna's partner Kate for a SD chat.
They all seem to be getting on well with each other and moving on with their lives, which os lovely to see.
Anna moved in to a lovely wee cottage on her own recently and it's so cosy with the most amazing back garden. I helped with a bit of weed clearing.
The kids went back home to Peter's and Anna dished up a lovely tea for us.

It feels odd being in someone elses house after so long being isolated.

Now it's way past our bedtime so goodnight and take care now the pubs are open! ;-)
