WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Drenched!

The day started well.
I got all the laundry done before we filled the water tank, emptied the loo cassettes and got rid of the recycling and other rubbish in Sheffield basin CRT facilities.

We then left and headed for Attercliffe where the Ice Rink is.
After mooring up I hung the washing out on the whirligig and got some of it dry before 'the weather' came. Oh the heavens they opened and it thundered and lightened for about an hour!
In the meantime Sabrina & co arrived at the Premier Inn. We couldn't go to see them  right away as it was just too wet.
Amelia was having a practice at the rink at 4.50pm so we arranged to meet Sabrina and her there if the rain stopped.
Thankfully it did and we were able to watch Amelia do some jumps and spins. She's so good at it!
We then got in their car and went for dinner at the Premier Inn. Well, I say dinner loosely!
Due to Covid restrictions half the menu was off and what we did get was in take away packaging as they weren't using proper crockery. At least it was paper and wood - I'll give them that! Also we weren't allowed to put tables together so the girls had to sit seperately.
The food was OK but nothing special and grossly overpriced. Still it was nice to be together. I even had a bit of a boogie with the girls much to their delight. We were the only people in the room ;-).

We then left them to get settled for the night and walked back to the boat which only took us 10 minutes but the heavens opened again and we got absolutey drenched so much that we had to strip off when we got inside.
I've had it with this weather!
I said a lot of naughty words! :-0

Goodnight :-)X
