Blackbird Fly

Whenever I go to the shoreline the blackbirds get very agitated. I think they nest amongst the reeds and are consequently defensive. Swinging on the tip of a reed nearby me, sounding the alarm, or flying close above my head, seem to be their main tactics. I try to ignore them for the most part, but once in a while they swoop too close for comfort.

Another hot day, it was pleasant enough in the evening, watching the setting sun cast its rays over still water. The warm light, lighting up the lily pads, set against the darker reflections of sky and reeds, made for a calm, inviting image.
