Here Comes The Night

Hotter still today (88°F), summer's really kicking into gear now. During the heat of the day, I have to retreat to the comfort of the a/c, leaving outside activities for early morning and evening.

True to my word, another blue hour shot of the same view using a different focal length, with wonderful cloud patterns and reflections.

Surprisingly difficult to get the exposure balance correct and to bring out details in the cloud patterns. I tend to try to get the general exposure to look correct in camera, i.e. dark in this case, despite the advice to expose to the right. I think I should experiment both ways with the same view to see whether ETTR improves details in the darks. That's for another day.
