100 Days!!
Hard to credit that we have reached 100 Days Of Lockdown/Social Distancing although I have friends who, due to illness or pre-existing conditions, have been Socially Isolating for longer and are still isolating now.
Here in Cornwall we are bracing ourselves for the influx of tourists on Saturday, Cornwall is expecting 80,000. Most, if not all, visiting Falmouth are going to be disappointed, awful weather forecast, only 7 of 26 pubs scheduled to open and a good few restaurants sticking to takeaway only. The media remain downbeat about tourism in Cornwall but I look for the positive, tourism plays a huge part in the county’s economy, we cannot stop tourists arriving so we need to make the best of the situation.
Today was a day at the rugby club instead of tomorrow, two reasons, I’ve a lot on tomorrow and as a club we were offered free water/legionella test with the appointment late this afternoon. It was a long day but we got a lot done plus it was good to be joined by Samantha and for a while Gussie.
Joshua is about to undertake a 420 mile charity cycle ride in aid of the Atlas Foundation and I believe part of the ‘deal’ is having his head shaved.
Let’s hope it’s not too sunny during the cycle ride.
Today’s photograph shows my Aeonium Arboreum 'Schwarzkopf' a succulent that Clare gave me as a gift around three weeks ago. It’s coming on leaps and bounds and it’s dark colour looks really good against the green of the shed.
