Garden superheroes

Mr hazelh took this photo of we garden superheroes during one of the many rain showers today.

I continued to heap compost into bags this morning. Meanwhile the Paddy and Caitlin finished off the raised bed outside the tangerine green bathroom window.

After lunch I tended to the yarden (potting my new acer) and the others dug a pit at the back for the pond. While they were digging they hit a drain pipe, so the pond will need to be placed a little further along the wall than previously planned. We also had long discussions about the placement of the new shed and compost heap. We have changed our minds on both. I am happy with the new plan - so long as we get it all finished in the end.

Mr hazelh (feeling a lot better, thank you) kept out of the way and engaged in more gentle pursuits. He's reached April in our 2009 photo album. That means he now has 'just' around 500 photos to process and label to bridge the gap in the full hazelh photo archive from 1982 to 2019.
