Northumbrian rainforest
I promised Mummy hazelh that I would visit her as soon as I could after pandemic travel restrictions were lifted in Scotland. That day was today.
I borrowed Paddy's car and drove down to Northumberland this morning. We don't have anything special planned while I am here. We're just going to enjoy one another's company for a couple of days.
This afternoon we made a tour of the garden. I took my blip of the paddock from the second lawn. It has become so overgrown since my father died. Even close up you can barely make out the vegetable garden or the orchard. The ponds, hides, and walkways (known as 'Pork walks' to the family) should be under all this vegetation - somewhere! My extra shows a bronze-armoured beetle that we would like identified please ;-)
We enjoyed a drink in the evening sunshine on the top lawn with the next door neighbours before dinner. Then we settled down to eat the meal that I transported down here this morning, and an evening watching television together.
Exercise today: none.
