I left the TechEd Conference mid-day. Stopped by the campus to take care of a few things. Then was headed out of the parking lot when I realized the earth moving machines were close to the road. I parked, grabbed my cheapie camera, got out, and started clicking. I'm sure those guys thought I was crazy.
I've been watching these gigantic machines for several days and wanting to take their picture. When I was a little girl and Mom had to go to work, she would leave me at Mildred the babysitter's house. I always got put out in the backyard to amuse myself. I can remember playing for hours in the dirt with Tonka trucks--craving worlds in the warm soil. I liked making highways so we could drive play cars on them and pretend. Today watching these grown men turn, crave, and grade the soil at the campus reminded me of those days. I've always thought it would be fun to drive one of those machines. Of course, I wouldn't have a clue what to do.
At the conference today I attended a workshop/demonstration about Photoshop. Very interesting! I know lots of you blippers use Photoshop, so I've been very interested in learning about it, but I don't own it--yet. I choked, coughed, and fainted when the price tag was mentioned--in the $700 range. They said I can get an educator discount. Mr. Fun would like to own it, so we'll see.
I'm so glad I attended the conference--had considered skipping it. Saw lots of interesting demonstrations, was given lots of resourceful links and got some freebies.
It's almost half-past five in Southern California and Mr. Fun will be out most of the evening and I've got lots of papers to grade before tomorrow. So I'm outta here!

P.S. I can hardly believe that today is "80" blips. I started this photo thing because I wanted to remember each day (if possible). So I've tried to capture something every day that "marks" the day, that would rattle my "rememberer" days, months, and years later. So 80 days in and I can hardly believe all that I would have forgotten if not for Blipfoto. Amazing! I'm thoroughly enjoying this place.
