Which Way To Turn

Still very light at 8pm as the hot weather continues and plenty of boats on the lake give the geese pause for thought as to a safe passage. Being July 4th, there will be fireworks tonight, I hope they find somewhere safe to hide.

Golden light bouncing off the water surface looked wonderful, but difficult to photograph. The birds were backlit and the camera sees their shadows as very dark, but in reality much more detail could be seen.
