Hoy, the Return
It's great to be back in Hoy and establishing base camp again. CMC kissed the beach and I hoisted the flag. After lighting the stove I went to the shed and checked the wood and guttering etc that had been delivered from Kirkwall. It's whisky for breakfast with Ms Hazel Burn.
For people tuning in on short wave we have been informed that Ian McMurkie's tortoise has died.
Pasty McLeod was in her garden; she telt us that Dodo Foubister is pining for the coalman. But not for Peat Banks.
Be careful if any of your are calling Streamline Shipping in Kirkwall. Bizarely the phone will be answered by Shona, Rhona, Fiona or Iona.
This is our first visit to Hoy in 133 days. CMC has required aversion therapy.
We are blessed.
