Another tree blip.

The small nature reserve by the shore just outside the village has a fine stand of Corsican Pine trees. About half of them are shown here. They must be between 40 to 50 feet tall with most of the foliage near the top.
It is said that in ideal conditions in the Mediterranean they can live for 500 years.

These trees are especially interesting because for as long as I can recall Ravens have nested right at the top of them. Their unmistakable call can often be heard and they can be seen soaring above the estuary often being mobbed by other birds.
But only once in all this time have I seen one on the beach and been able to take its photograph. But I keep looking.
