Spring Flower
I am really looking forward to shooting flowers. Not the kind that you get in the store, but those growing naturally. During my blip detours, I scour the ground looking for emerging flowers and have been unsuccessful until today. I saw this little bud and it immediately caught my eye. I have no idea what kind it is, but I like the interesting curve and bright red color. I will revisit it in a couple of weeks to see if it has bloomed.
On a side note, this is another macro shot and I have been taking many of them recently. I absolutely love my Canon 100mm Macro lens and highly recommend it to other blippers.
From a a composition standpoint, the flower dominates and I also like the shallow DoF and the green background.
Finally, thank you everyone for your good wishes on my last two blips. I am starting to feel much better.
No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast, brightness and white balance.
Constructive criticism always welcome.
