For Bob

Apologies for a second sunflower blip in 3 days, but today saw the funeral of our old friend, Bob, who lost his battle with cancer just under two weeks ago. Bob was married to our bridesmaid, Cei, until she succumbed to bone cancer almost 11 years ago.

With restrictions on numbers in place, we weren't able to attend the funeral but did make a socially distanced visit to the family wake this afternoon to pay our respects and, having shared many a bottle with him over the years, we were able to raise a glass of red wine in his memory.

He was always a sunny character and his family's wreath featured sunflowers so a photo of one in our garden seemed appropriate.
