YeeeeHaaa!
Susie - Sabrina's cat.
Amelia had her Zoom off ice exercise class. The coach doesn't half put them through their paces. A whole hour of quite strenuous muscle and cardiac exercises. Amelia is only 8 but she does them all with such dedication every day. By the time the kids get back on the ice they'll be so fit and flexible.
This afternoon I walked in to Airdrie to meet my son Marc. What a palaver getting a takeaway cuppa! We decided MacDonalds was the best option as they have outdoor seating and we only wanted tea and coffee. He had to drive through to get it and while he was doing that I was told I wasn't allowed to sit at the outdoor tables. By this time he had already bought the drinks. There was nowhere in the vicinity to sit so we ended up walking into the town centre where there were at least 3 places to get take away drinks - including Greggs! Anyway we found a bench and sat at opposite ends. We had long conversations about the state of the world. He worries a lot about things and doesn't seem to be in a happy place right now. I tried to tell him that there is little we can change just now and it's best not to let it get on top of him. I had lent him some money last week to buy a Diagnostic Kit for his new mobile mechanic business, so he showed me how it works by plugging it into his own car. I hope it will get him some customers he couldn't have dealt with before. I also told him to try some yoga to relax him as he doesn't sleep well and is a bit on edge all the time. I wish I could have hugged him.
All we want as parents is for our kids to be happy.
It was a lovely dry sunny day today until now! I'm writing this in bed and the rain is battering on the window.
Thanks for all the comments/stars/hearts. I may not get round to commenting on all the blips I follow this week but I read them all ;-)
Goodnight
