Off Ice Skating
It's 4 months since Amelia was on actual ice but lockdown hasn't held her back. Apart from the daily exercise routines, she has these 'off ice' skates which are specific for ice skaters, the wheels are rockered to enable the skater to go on their toes. We're hoping that sports centers, including ice rinks will be able to open sometime soon.
I've had a fairly chilled out day today. I was on my own with the girls all morning and John was here in the afternoon, as was Sabrina but she had a work conference call. Amelia and Lucy have played together all day, mainly with their mermaid dolls and then also a wierd game where Amelia was leaving home and Lucy was pretending to cry and begging her not to leave, she even made her a leaving card. She clippety-clops round in her princess shoes being all dramatic and gesticulating - a proper little actress - at one point I thought she was really crying about something! What on earth goes on in their little heads!
I made them their 'rainbow lunch' all manner of chopped salad veg and fruit and a cheese butty each.
Frank phoned and he has the garden path completed and is of course exhausted. I told him to have a day off tomorrow.
It's been mainly dry and sunny apart from a few spits.
Book and bedtime for me!
Goodnight :-) X
