The Small Heath butterflies always settle with their wings closed and live mainly in grassland areas.   They can be found throughout much of Scotland but as they have suffered serious decline in Britain they are considered a priority species.
Hopefully I will find two more butterflies this weekend if the sun shines encouraging them to fly.
