The only sounds were seals swimming and splashing around in the calm sea while several lay on rocks as the tide receded.  There are actually 19 seals in this photo but most look like dots in the water or on rocks apart from a silver coloured one exhibiting the traditional cigar shape and a grey seal on another rock.  At low tide most of them will rest on the sandbanks off Aberlady Bay.
