Still More Rain

Another drizzly day, hopefully the last in this area for a little while.  I spent the morning jet washing the decking.  We painted it a few years ago and it requires a fresh coat every year as the paint keeps bubbling off.  Jet washing just helps remove the paint work that has lost adhesion with the wood underneath.

We are considering replacing it with composite and the jetting was partly used to expose some of the screws so I can inspect the sub frame.  We’re still to make a final decision. Stay with the wood but realise it will need annual maintenance or upgrade the sub frame and put down composite which would be maintenance free bar for cleaning.
