South Downs Way: Day 1 :- Eastbourne to Alfriston

The most spectacular start.  Eastbourne to Alfriston,  12 miles with the first six or seven over Beachy Head, Birling Gap and of course the Seven Sisters (although I counted eight of them). Gorgeous sun at first and then it got more and more windy. Beautiful and exhilarating though and we ended winding through the valley of Cuckmere to a nice dinner at the hotel. And hoping for a better sleep than I managed last night.  Obviously Vikram took the picture which is SO good. Although God knows whose dog that is - you can just see Woody’s bum behind...
