Rays

Back outside to catch the sun as it came through the lower arbor. Are these not ‘crepuscular my rays? I’m afraid the word dies not bring to mind these wonderful rays of light through cracks in something...clouds, leaves, or the arbor.

I forgot to plug my computer back in after our Pilates class so I’m writing this on my phone. I’ll try to be brief and not rant too much but you are forewarned.

In his total inability to understand or relate to anything that isn’t about him, Trump is trying to force the schools to reopen in the misinformed belief that this will lead to normalcy and therefore improve his chances of re-election. I think he’s already done himself in there. If he followed (or even looked at) the guidelines of countries that have successfully done this, he would know that because of his singleminded lack of leadership this country is not ready to do this. It takes lower numbers of cases, intense testing and quite a bit of money...none of which is forthcoming from the federal government.

Oklahoma is reporting a spike in cases following a Trump rally there. This is hardly surprising since Trump supporters seem to have convinced themselves that mask wearing is not for Republicans.

I just read that the Supreme Court has ruled that Trump must turn over his tax records.
Given how hard he’s been resisting that, it will be interesting to see what happens next..

Other than that, all is quiet here...very quiet since John insists he doesn’t want to talk about Trump or Covid19....
