Lovely view of the islands...

I had another decent walk around this morning before it got too hot for me.
Then at 1.00pm listened to the media briefing. Happy to hear that we will not be opening our borders and allowing people in unless they isolate for 14 days until at least September. There are one or two exceptions; our air bridge with the Isle of Man which could be extended to Iceland and the Faroe Islands and a business tunnel which would allow someone to come on a controlled day trip for a necessary business meeting.
Our medical team are focused on making sure that if and when a vaccination is available, they are ready to vaccinate 35,000 of us (which could be 70,000 vaccinations if each person requires 2). That’s in addition to the seasonal flu jabs. 35,000 is everyone over 50 plus others with underlying conditions. So over half the population.
As we have been all through this pandemic; we are prepared.
