Coombe Abbey Park
We've had another day out, this time to meet up with Mr HB's eldest daughter, another D-in-L and granddaughter, Chloe. We met at Coombe Abbey Park, just outside Coventry and as J & co live in Manningtree, Essex it was quite a jaunt for them, not so bad for us just south of Birmingham. It was so lovely to meet up with some of the southern family again and Coombe Abbey Park was a great venue to be able to self isolate in ..... For a family day out, or a quiet little picnic, visit Coombe Abbey Park. It offers 500 acres of beautiful gardens, woodland, lakeside walks, and bird watching. The diverse "Capability" Brown designed landscape makes it ideal for everyone, from families to wildlife enthusiasts and those just looking for a quiet stroll in the woodland...... and the weather was kind so we enjoyed a good walk in the lovely grounds and a nice picnic in the gorgeous and very well maintained parkland.
In extras: The Coombe Abbey Hotel, a Coot sitting patiently on her nest, one of the 8 cygnets and someone enjoying one of the many zip wires through the woodland.
The Thistle is for FlowerFriday - thank you Bikerbear for hosting our end of week challenge.
