A Rare Sighting!

It felt exceptionally weird to take my small one to the park early this evening.

It’s accurate to say, this particular activity has been sorely missed over the past 14 weeks by both of us, in equal measure.

I was reminded of the simple pleasure that can be obtained in finding oneself stood behind a swing, aimlessly pushing it forwards to allow it to swing back and repeat. Again. Again. And again...

Thus, with the breeze blowing across our faces, a momentary escape into the back of the mind for quiet contemplation becomes
possible.

On returning to reality, I was struck by how much she’s grown: Lockdown has offered her an abundance of fresh air, vitamin D & fresh rain. Now she looks like a stick of rhubarb which has been plonked into a thimble!
