The Rains have Come!!

This evening it is pouring with longed for rain! The OPPRESSIVE heat and humidity for the past few days have about done me in. Last night off and on I may have had a total of 3 hours sleep. She the night before, Just too hot even with the fans on.
All day today the sky was overcast and heavy with humidity. We (my guest and I) kept saying "If only it would rain." 
There is a tropical storm off the Atlantic coast and we hoped it would come our way. I think part of it may be. Glorious rain is pelting down right now. All the windows in the house are open to get the inside temperature to cool off. It never goes below 86º to 88º F inside day & night.
The funny thing is, I have a brand new small window a/c on the floor in the guest's room. We have no one to put it in the darn window! We are both rather too elderly for that kind of lifting.
Anyway, whoo-hoo! Here is the blip of Persey sitting in a bedroom window enjoying the rainfall. Just the natural light with no harsh flash. 
We will all sleep well tonight.
