Next New Normal

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

The Prince and I met Kitty Cat and Marsh for a couple of drinks in the courtyard at Summerhall today. We had a 2 hour slot booked and it just flew past. It was so exciting being somewhere different. The sun was shining and the chat was flowing. It was a great way to be at (outside) a bar - loads of space with the tables spread out and no one sitting anywhere near us. Socialising is so much better with less people!

We went back to their house for another few drinks where we sat INSIDE when it started raining. Another first in almost 4 months.

Two very ordinary experiences but both felt so special. Just being in the company of friends is still such a novelty. I hope over time that it will become normal again. I also hope that a small part of me retains the awareness of how lovely normal is.
