Shades of Blue

Our beloved Dutch cheese-making friends, Jan and Elisabeth.

Spent the day at theirs today, for the first get together of the colleagues since before we left Portugal; we were much depleted, and couldn't have had more than 20 anyway. We met the new Brazilian family who arrived just as Portugal was going into lockdown - her family in Brazil all contracted the virus and her Dad died of it - it's been a tough start for them, especially as their job and accomodation fell through as well.

It was soooo hot.

Gratefuls:
- seeing our friends again
- a three-way Whatsapp chat with Julia and Deb in the car on the way home - not done that before
- the beauty of the Alentejo at dusk as we drove home
