It's been a while since I Blipped the Ramsay Obelisk, and I've not visited it for a few weeks because the vegetation on the field margins of the walk to it is getting thick. But I added it to my walk with Django this morning as it was very pleasant to be out. The barley is ripening, and the weight of the grain is bending the tops [see extra]. Back home I did a bit of work before lunch, and then decided to "do a bit in the garden". This turned into a long afternoon, clearing the "nettle forest" between us and one neighbour, and clearing some more of the excessively "rewilded" areas, before cutting the grass - half of which hadn't been done all year! In the course of all this, I chatted with three neighbours, making it quite a pleasant afternoon.
