Being a working day, it was a regular local dog walk first thing, with the novelty provided by Django. If he's not completely uninterested by other dogs, his interactions are generally limited to sniffing and sometimes end with a bit of growling. There are three bitches that he's attracted to - they are indifferent to him - but today he met another Border Collie (1-y-o male) and they had loads of fun chasing each other around the big field at Cornbank. It probably helped that the first thing the other dog did was to roll over on its back next to Django - a gesture of total submission - so there were no points to be scored. They were both heterochromic, so maybe it's in the eyes!
Back home, there were interesting emails, pending coding issues, and important other things to do, but I eventually got down to the important things. It was also the first day of the first conference I've attended for 18 months. I gave my talk via zoom, not knowing who was in the audience. It all worked fairly well, and led to a couple of questions and an email from a former PhD student of mine!
