In the heart of Sydney
Father-in-law Amos has a medical appointment in Sydney tomorrow, and so we drove up with him from Batemans Bay today - a five-hour journey. On such occasions in the past, we have stopped over in a hotel, but friends recently alerted us to a tranquil alternative: Lane Cove River Tourist Park. It is in the bush on the edge of Lane Cove National Park, a beautiful natural oasis in the heart of the bustling city. Spaces for caravans and camping are discreetly fitted into the environs, but we have chosen to stay in one of the cabins for a couple of nights. Time to explore . . . .
