Espresso Love
So, my new flat is currently being occupied by its rightful owner. For the next 10 days. Shoot me.
THANKFULLY, a friend here graciously offered his flat.
I need to say something. I don't fall in love easily. I've been in love twice in my life, once with a man and once with a 1969 Bronco that I drove at university. It's not just because I am a hard one to win (I am)... It is also partially that in life, I have learned that life demands we hold both people and things relatively loosely.
This morning, I think I might have fallen in love again... The object of my affection is pictured above. I have to say, after a year of working with Jill at Common Grounds (between when I quit at K&S and started my gig here) I am rather picky about my espresso shots. I haven't pulled a shot in two years. I am a little rusty. This machine produced two beautiful shots for me this morning. I am pretty sure it had nothing to do with me. My cappuccino made my knees weak. I can't stop thinking about making another one, I'm making life decisions around my next latte. Other than pounding heart, all signs indicate love. (OK it's a SLIGHT exaggeration.)
The problem? I have to go back to my flat at some point and I am pretty sure my friend would notice if I took the machine with me.
I would also like you to know, for entertainment's sake; I definitely laid myself across the dining room table to get this shot. Probably not the kind of activity that was expected of me when the keys were handed over. But hey, it worked.
OK enough Blipping, I think I need an espresso. Maybe a double.
