Hellibore Update........

...............I submitted my first open hellibore on January the 12th and noted at the time that there were younger plants in bud. These have now opened - their purple markings are a little paler but still very pretty. There is an extremely strong wind and so I cut one and brought it inside and this is it. On the older plant there are about a dozen flowers but just 3 or 4 on the young ones which are self seeded. I keep promising myself I will get some of the really dark ones and I believe there are doubles available now so will keep an eye open for one of those.

The snow of yesterday has gone - I think there may have been some rain in the night - temp 3 deg C but the wind is very strong and very cold!
