Battered Butterfly
A cool and clear day. As the weather has at last settled down, I take the mudguards of the road bike in to morning. normally I would be riding the tourer more than the road bike as I use the tourer for commuting and leading recreational rides. The tourer needs lighter wheels, and new tyres, so using the lockdown to improve the tourer.
In the afternoon, we don't need any extra, so it is a walk around the Braids again, returning via the bridleway. The bridleway seems very popular with the butterflies. The yellow gorse and other vegetation make for a good hiding place and lots of food from all the different flowers. The peacock butterfly has seen better times, but it was still fluttering around the bushes.
