Love Bugs
Spent the morning with a friend on a little field trip where we tallied 30 bird species and all kinds of cool bugs. These brightly colored longhorn beetles are one of my favorites. They are Red Milkweed Longhorn Beetles and this is the time of year when they are busy making more beetles. Sometimes one can observe 3 or more pairs thus engaged on a single milkweed plant. It's like a giant beetle orgy, really. And you know I find it hard to resist bug porn...
My runner-up shot can be seen HERE on Flickr - the fabulous dogbane beetle.
No news yet for me today. I will get to it eventually, but I'm having a good day and see no need to upset myself needlessly. Besides, it will be more of the same. A president constantly searching for someone to blame while states scramble to curb virus spread and deal with hospitals at capacity. Honestly, I sometimes feel like I'm in a house that is burning down around me.
So, let's all just enjoy a bit of bug porn instead, shall we? And now I am off to get a sneak peak at this week's TT entries. I already know I'll be dazzled!
Stay safe, be kind, be loving.
