A successful plant

Even though the evidence is stacked against me, I am not completely hopeless with plants. There’s one on a cold, dark windowsill in the bathroom – an unfriendly pointy-leaved one – that has been there for maybe three years now. Not only is it not dead or dying or infested with creatures or being eaten or growing into itself, it is actively growing upwards.

(We’ll not mention that the older lower leaves are going brown: I suspect that’s just age or something.)
