Flower Bud

Some days you have more photos than you need (see yesterday) and others you resort to old standbys (like today). Even though it is winter, many of the plants throughout the complex are still in bloom, but this one has stubbornly resisted blossoming until it receives a daily dose of sunshine, which, up until a couple of weeks ago, was blocked by building C. New flowers now seem to appear daily, beginning as tightly wound buds, opening into full fledged flowers in short order. With the sun moving north, all manner of plants on and around our patio will be bursting forth with blossoms, leading to even more flower photos in the months ahead.
