The accidental finding

Rabbit in the headlights

... But I had my hair cut! My hairdresser has left the salon, and came to us for a dining room session. I invited a friend, too. So Cheryl got three cuts in one venue. Feels good after four months to have some weight off my fringe.

My cards order arrived, so I booked a pitch in the car park for Saturday. Don't know when the Shambles indoor market will reopen. Steve has bought an extra table. Sorting cards out in cellophane took a bit of time...

More time was spent working out logistics for Dave. He will only be allowed home when his old sofa bed has been removed and the new bed installed. Bless him, he thought he could there on Monday morning, presumably in his hospital PJs, overseeing operations. I assured him this would not be likely, and fortunately his stepdaughter arrived at the hospital just then and said she'd be the overseer on Monday. This means I don't have to miss work on Monday, and I don't have to go to Cheltenham beforehand to get a key cut for Dave's house. This is a huge relief.

(Note to anyone who thinks that middle aged women who don't have children, or whose children are grown up, must have plenty of spare time: don't you believe it! They may have paid or voluntary work to do, even during a pandemic, and will be otherwise occupied dealing with the problems of several other people at once, as well as looking after their home and it's occupants. They will have absolutely no time to spend reading chocolates, eating gin and drinking books)!

This evening I did another course, in CV writing. It was so good that I'll go back tomorrow for Cover Letter writing. Good to engage with others, even via Zoom.

I might just go to bed early tonight.
