A re-union in Saughton Park
Yesterday was a significant stage in terms of lockdown for me as I was able to meet up with my two closest friends, John & Eric for the first time in four months. We met up at the Garden Bistro in Saughton Park, Edinburgh which is well worth a visit but you do need to book ahead. All of us have lived in and around Edinburgh for many years but had not realised how much had changed in the park in recent times. The formal gardens have now been taken over as a community garden, There is a statue of Sri Chimnoy who started an world wide peace run. The victorian bandstand has been re-erected and and there is a samba tree in memory of young children who have died. There is a skateboard park which seems to be very well used.
