Orchids at Helsington Barrows

Although it was rather a dull afternoon we had a walk round Scout Scar lookout for frog orchids, which we found plenty.
Then on to Helsington Barrows to look for Dark Red Helleborine. We found quite a few, although they are much shorter and less robust than last year, presumably due to the drought in spring.
Good to see them still thriving.
