Gait Barrows

After a busy morning tending the beehives we needed some light relief! We went to Gait Barrows hoping to pick mushrooms but couldn’t find any.
However we went round the limestone pavements and found a few dark red Helleborine see yesterday’s blip, and also this orchid which is probably a hybrid with Broad leaves Helleborine. It’s very statuesque but rather difficult to photograph down the grike!
