On Leaving Wantage

Busy day, and an afternoon walk around town to stretch the legs.

Took this view in the Betjeman Millennium Park; which has the text by Sir John Betjeman of "On Leaving Wantage 1972".  I do like this park and on Tripadvisor, Betjeman Millennium Park, is 5th of 16 things to do in Wantage.  

This is ironic, as top of the list of things to do in Wantage is to 'leave'.  The trouble is the nearest big town is Didcot; which came 20th in the list of the the 50 worst places to live in Britain; but this was a long time ago.  (I think that I have been in lockdown too long!)
