Woolcombing and Scrub bashing

Today’s main activity was back to the NNR to continue scrub removal. A hot day for it, but peaceful spot and satisfyingly we finished clearing the area we were working on last Saturday. Job done.

But the picture is my new toy - Walt demonstrates use of wool combs. These are for preparing fleece with long locks such as Lincoln Longwool for spinning. They are hand made in Yorkshire. Arrived via Leicester parcelforce sorting office so they’ve spent a few days in quarantine and tonight I remembered to retrieve and open the parcel!
