Our Winner

The kids had entered the "Kids off Couches" fishing contest with some of our friends today. The two families (minus me with my stupid ear) went out on the boat. Conditions were that they couldn't start fishing until 10am, and had to be in by 2pm. They were given these metal measurers, which they had to take time stamped photos of their fish with. This is what was used to allocate the size prizes. The catagories were Top 5 Snapper - boys and girls, Top 5 Kahawai (girls and boys), Best Fishing Stories, and then some spot prizes.

The 4 kids all caught keepers, mostly snapper and yellowtails, but none were big enough to be top 5, however the Youngest won this camping backpack as a spot prize. She was made up! All of the kids got a goodie bag each, and they had a variety of things in them. My girls got a water squirter and beachball, L got a 500 piece tackle box, and A got a badminton set. All for the princely entry fee of $10. Well done to FCO for providing such awesome prizes.

We had an amazing feed of Snapper, chips and salad at our friends' place last night. Fresh Snapper, unbeatable!
