Farm Girls
After not enough sleep, we headed off to the farm with the kids and Cami. It was a kind of happy birthday thing for Cami who turned 9 this week. They loved feeding all the animals and playing in the very cute play area. Nate had a few tears at different points, sheer tiredness I think. Cami doesn't ever stop, she has SO much energy...but my kids need a bit of downtime sometimes - that never happens with this particular friend! Ha!
A happy meal lunch and more playing at home this afternoon...
We had a 24-7 dinner tonight so I made a plum tarte tatin to take with us. As we dropped Cami home and headed to the dinner, the juice leaked over clothes, so we ended up going home to change. I (thankfully) licked the juice, and nearly gagged...very very unfortunately, I had created a 'caramel' with salt and not sugar!!!!!! Argh!!! As Mom said, I need to learn to label my jars! Thank goodness we realised before serving! Needless to say we headed to dinner via the supermarket!
A lovely evening eating in the Delport's garden!
Today I'm grateful for;
1) Beautiful places like Can Muson to enjoy.
2) The laugh the taste tatin gave us!
3) An amazing chicken curry cooked by Quin.
