Geranium's in February!

A very cold day today, and windy. Busy in the house this morning and then a new friend collected me to go to a WI meeting - my first! Well I'd never have envisaged myself ever joining the WI but, well you have to try these things don't you!? Our elderly neighbour (male) calls it the Wild Indians so it was worth a visit.

Well I had a lovely afternoon with a large group of women of all ages, shapes and sizes, vibrant and welcoming with a very busy schedule of trips and events. Who'd have linked canoeing and forensic science with the WI? Not me.

And yes - they / we did sing Jerusalem which surprised me, and I smiled inside all afternoon at the big similarity to Calendar Girls!

I arrived home to a very chilly hubby who'd started to erect the greenhouse. Watch this space!

A sprint run, a 'local lamb' dinner and an evening watching 'Africa' by a log fire - a pretty good day!

As for today's blip I'd intended taking a snap at the WI, and then of the new greenhouse but as they didn't come together I think this brave geranium outside our back door deserves a blip. Its flowered all winter and is a cheery welcome.
