The Laird.....

I found this life-size kilted out waxwork of Mohamed Al Fayed as the Laird of Balnagown in his "very own tartan" so deeply disturbing and at the same time hilarious that I knew it had to be todays blip! It came as such a shock when we walked into the visitor centre at Shin Falls and there he was right in front of the door large as life! LOL I laughed for so long, then had a look at the Harrods stuff which was so very out of place in here that I had to laugh some more.

Mum and I had planned to drive up to the Falls and take loads of lovely pictures, stopping to browse some nice wee galleries in Tain and Dornoch along the way.
It was a good plan, but unfortunately we couldn't have picked a more miserable day for it! Strong winds and torrential rain made it impossible to stand outside never mind take pics. However we made it up there, if only to be blown straight into the visitor centre for a bit of lunch ;o) Passed on the actual sightseeing - it'll have to wait for a day when we are not likely to be pushed in by gale force 12....

Typically as soon as we got back home this afternoon the sun came out and the rain dried up. Ahhh, the Highlands of Scotland!!
