...... of smoke .
Apologies another backblip of the view from my back door yesterday morning.
From the sight of this, the distant explosions and the sound of sirens it was obvious there was a fairly major fire on the outskirts of town.
It turned out to be on the industrial estate at a metal scrap yard which when I was a school boy was Scotland’s only Sugar Beet Factory although it closed not long after.
I can remember the white smoke from chimneys and the sickly sweet smell from the factory. I suspect yesterday the smell would be very different.
Thankfully no one was injured in the fire.
