All the soups you will ever need....

Sometime ago I obtained a book called "The Soup Bible" which, according to the cover blurb, contains "all the soups you will ever need". Actually it doesn't contain any soup - only recipes. I'm further disconcerted to find that a second volume has been published - presumably of soup recipes that you don't really need.

I'm still working my way through the 200 or more pottages, broths, chowders, bisques, consommes and proper soups etc in volume 1. I've made over 70 of them but keep returning to the handful that I really like - including today's cream of mushroom. Given the amount I made it looks like being cream of mushroom tomorrow and the next day.....
