If you want to get ahead, get a hut
D had a day off and we decided to take Molly to the seaside. First we tried Frinton but it was very busy. There didn’t seem to be any shops or restaurants near the beach, not even somewhere to get a coffee so we got back in the car and drove to Walton on the Naze. We sat and had a coffee on the beach then D went and got us some fish and chips. It was mostly cloudy but when the sun came out, very warm. After lunch we had a walk down the pier (2nd longest in England) then headed back to the car and came home.
There were lots of very pretty beach huts along the front. Many of them had large groups of people spilling out of them, sitting in chairs and at tables along the promenade, eating and drinking and watching the world go by. It felt like normal times again.
A couple of extras of the huts and ominous looking sky, and one of Molly on the beach.
