Bees' favourite

Today, the Japanese anemones were in full flower so the bees were having a field day. Every year we see this group of flowers invaded by the bees so it has to be a permanent feature of this flower border.

Our three new rose bushes seem to be settling in well. One of them is in bloom and I couldn't resist including an extra photograph of it.

It was another grey day with mist and rain so no gardening. Instead, I visited brother and sister-in-law and also caught up with an elderly aunt on the phone so it was a good use of time. N and J fixed the puncture on the sit-on mower that we share so when the weather dries up they can cut the grass which is growing quickly in this damp weather.
